Gary John Osterling

september 30, 1952 – november 26, 2024

Gary John Osterling

Gary John Osterling, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on September 30, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Gary lived a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished moments with his family.

Married for 38 wonderful years to his devoted wife, Chris, Gary was the proud father of four daughters: Kelly, Brittany, Elizabeth, and Laura. His legacy continues with his nine adoring grandchildren: Tyler, Ethan, Emery, Jaxon, Mason, Oliver, Conner, Liam, and Elya who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his nephew, Victor Orbegozo.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents Nicholas and Ruth Osterling (nee Geiser), and his siblings, Arlene Orbegozo and Nicholas Osterling.

Gary was a dedicated manager, spending many years with Superior Honda. Outside of work, he found joy in various hobbies, including gardening, golfing, bowling, and fishing. He was a familiar face at the Colerain Bowl, where he participated in league play, and enjoyed cheering passionately for his favorite sports teams, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cincinnati Reds.

A lover of family traditions, Gary looked forward to meals that included his favorite salmon and the hearty family favorite: sauerkraut and meatballs. He had a soft spot for his beloved support dog, Charlie, and enjoyed relaxing with a good news segment from Fox News.

The beach was his happy place, where he treasured family vacations, especially those unforgettable trips to St. Augustine, filled with laughter and bonding.

A Celebration of Gary’s life will be held by family privately.

While we mourn his passing, let us rejoice in the memories we shared and the love he spread. Gary will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
