Gary Lee Benight, 77, of Cincinnati, passed away September 19, 2025 at his residence He was born August 13, 1948, in Cincinnati, the son of the late Jesse R. Jr. and Jacquiline (Schwab) Benight.
Gary was a Bailiff for the Hamilton County Municipal Court and a Deputy for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, retiring after eighteen years.
He is survived by his three sons, Jerry (Denise) Benight, Dale (Brittney) Benight and Garrett Benight; nine grandchildren, Tiffany Boner, Brandy, Jeremy, Kelly, Brittany, Robert, Zachary and Ryan Benight, Desiree Lockwood; several great-grandchildren; brother Jesse W. Benight Sr; sister Dianne (Terry) McMullin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Sherry Benight, and nephew Jeremy McMullin.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 – 11 AM on Friday September 26, 2025, at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Gardens.
