George “Jerry” Wilburn

George “Jerry” Gerald Wilburn, a beloved father and grandfather, passed away on May 13, 2026. He was born on April 24, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Jerry faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  After his military career, he worked as a police officer with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department, where he dedicated his career to serving and protecting his community.

Jerry was a member of the Eagles and was also a longtime supporter of the Tyme Out bar, where he was fondly known as “Cappy” by his friends and fellow patrons.

Jerry was passionate about golf, often found on the greens, where he enjoyed the company of friends and created memories.

Jerry leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories through his daughters, Jeri Lynne Faehr and Tracy (Ken) Spears, as well as his grandchildren: Hunter (Cassi) Faehr, Myles Faehr, Leisa Hoerst, Courtney Hoerst, and Douglas Hoerst, and sister in law, Vicki Wilburn. His family will deeply miss his wisdom, humor, and unconditional love.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ruth Wilburn, son-in-law, Tim Faehr, and brothers, Randy Wilburn, and Terry Wilburn.

A celebration of life in honor of Jerry will be held on Saturday, May 30th, 2026 from 2:00-6:00pm at the Mt. Healthy Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2193, 1620 Kinney Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45231.

As we remember Jerry, let us honor his spirit by embracing the love he shared and the kindness he exemplified in his daily life.
