A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
Gregory A. Dean, a devoted family man, cherished friend, and respected Deputy Sheriff, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on August 31, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Greg lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedicated service to both his country and community.
Greg proudly served in the United States Air Force before committing to a long and fulfilling career with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, for 23 years. After his retirement in September 2010, he continued to be a steadfast protector and supporter of his beloved Cincinnati.
He met his soulmate, Deborah, at Chicken on the Run, where their love story began being married in 1996. Over the years, they built a beautiful life together, filled with countless memories shared with their sons, Branden (Mandy) and Adam (Lauren), daughter Stashia Olden (Curtis) and their beloved grandchildren: Celina Fuhrman, Aliya Brunck, AJ Brunck, and Jackson Dean. Greg’s greatest joy came from spending time with his family—whether it was sharing a meal, telling stories, or simply enjoying a game night together.
Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Elenora Dean (nee Geraci).
A celebration of Greg’s life will take place on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the blue line upon entering the memorial park). Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation starting at 12:30 pm, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm. Graveside service at 2:30 pm with Military Honors will take place in the Garden of Acacia.
Although Greg is no longer with us, his love, laughter, and tenacity will always remain in our hearts. Let us come together to celebrate a life well-lived, embracing the memories he gifted us all.

“Wassup! I heard someone say this shortly after you passed. It was like you were standing right there. It’s funny how a single phrase can take you back to a cherished moment in time to remind you of good times shared and bring a smile. Who knew back then that this would become one of my favorite memories. Forever in our hearts.”
