Howard William “Bill” Townsley, 94, of Bella Vista passed away unexpected Tuesday, January 25, 2022. He was born January 16, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Howard Otis Townsley and Elsie Mae VonSeggern Townsley. Following high school graduation Bill proudly served in the US Army, in occupied Japan, under General Douglas MacArthur, among other duties. Following his service and graduation from college he began his career teaching school, several executive positions in business before retiring from teaching at a university. Mr. Townsley will be remembered as a leader of men and boys; as he was an Eagle Scout and a Scoutmaster. Above all, he loved the Lord.

Survivors include his adoring wife of more than 70 years, M. Virginia “Ginna” Townsley; 2 sons, Mark (Cindy) Townsley and Gregg Townsley; 6 grandchildren; from Mark’s marriage a 7th grandson and a great-grandson; numerous extended family members and dear friends.

A Funeral Service with full Military Honors will begin at 2:00pm, Friday, February 25, 2022 at Village Bible Church, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd. in Bella Vista. Arrangements are under the care of Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. Condolences may be shared at www.CallisonLoughFH.com
