Helen P. Lahmann

February 20, 1931 – june 28, 2025

Helen P. Lahmann

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen P. Lahmann, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us on June 28, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on February 20, 1931, in San Diego, California, Helen embraced life with a spirit that was nothing short of incredible.

Helen’s resilience and determination defined her, and she approached every challenge with a feisty and rambunctious energy that inspired those around her. As a factory worker in the jewelry industry, she demonstrated an unyielding work ethic, but it was her passions outside of work that truly brought her joy. Helen enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, and all types of crafting, and she embraced her love for roller skating in her younger years, often delighting in the memories of her time at Tri Skateland.

She was a proud Navy mother, married to a WWII veteran, and her love for her country was evident in her appreciation of the red, white, and blue. Helen’s strong faith was a guiding light in her life, and she cherished her family above all. She will be remembered by her children: Sandy Kitts, Shirley Reiter, Ron Lahmann, and Terry Lahmann, as well as her 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren who will surely miss her famous tortilla recipe. Family gatherings will never be the same without her infectious laughter and loving presence.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Maria Ponce, her beloved husband Fred Lahmann Jr., her son Fred Lahmann III and her daughter Rhonda Lahmann.

Helen always had a way of making time spent together feel special, whether it was through the warmth of her culinary skills or sharing her favorite songs, like “Old Rugged Cross” and “Angel Baby.” Her spirit will continue to live on in the memories of those who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, 45231, where Helen will be laid to rest. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate Helen’s remarkable life and the joy she brought to so many. The procession will begin from Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (follow the blue line upon entering the memorial park) at 12:00 PM to the Garden of Last Supper.

Helen’s legacy of love, companionship, and tenacity will remain forever in our hearts. She may have left this world, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.
