Obituary for Howard Frank Berglund
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Howard Frank Berglund, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us on May 27, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on February 8, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Howard dedicated his life to his work as an HVAC technician and to the love of his family.
Howard was a man of simple pleasures and cherished moments. He possessed an unwavering passion for fishing and camping, with Lake Erie holding a special place in his heart. Those close to him would often recall how he could never be found without a fishing pole in hand, ready to cast a line at any moment. His joyful spirit and love for the outdoors brought many fond memories that his family will cherish forever.
He was also a proud Fellow of the Cincinnati Moose Lodge 2, where he fostered friendships and enjoyed camaraderie with his fellow members. Howard’s genuine warmth and kindness touched all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted children, Terri (Jim) Atwood, Jeffrey (Terry) Andler, Christopher (Belinda) Andler, Karlla (James) Swagart and Karey Berglund; and a proud lineage of 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also mourning his loss are his sister, Linda (Steve) Geis, and brother, Emil (Eloise) Berglund, who held a special place in his heart.
