James (Big Jim) Sorgs, age 80, passed away on April 17, 2023. Beloved husband of 61 years to Mary Ann Sorgs (nee Burstad). Loving father to Tammie Mitchell and Terrie Scott. Cherished grandfather to Stephanie Mitchell, Ashlee Scott Barrett, Rachel Scott Orme and Christina Mitchell George. Loving great-grandfather to Judah, Isaiah, Elizabeth, Everett, Kinsley, Stephen, Micah, Christopher, and Levi.

Jim served in the Air Force during the Vietnam era and was a member of the honor guard. Jim worked for 32 years in the steel industry. Jim possessed a good and caring heart. Services will be private for family members only. Burial will be at Arlington Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, TN in memory of Stephanie Mitchell or a charity of your choosing. God’s peace to you.
