Janet J. Conley

Cincinnati, OH – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Janet Conley, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who peacefully departed this world at the age of 95 on February 24, 2026. Born on May 17, 1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Janet dedicated her life to her family, her career as the “Water Lady” or “Water Mom” for the City of Wyoming, and her myriad of passions that brought joy to those around her.

Janet is survived by her devoted husband, Kenneth Conley, her daughters, Barbara (David) Reiber and Dr. Ruth Conley, and her cherished grandchildren, Mandie Hungarland and Abby (Nick) Pugh. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Peter, Solomon, Elanor, William, and soon-to-arrive Mylo, each a testament to her legacy of love and warmth. The youngest of 9 siblings, she leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews as well.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Mollie Jones, her siblings, great-granddaughter, Josie, and many other loved ones.

Janet was a woman of many interests; she found joy in the simple pleasures of life. A voracious reader, she delighted in the worlds found within the pages of books. Music filled her home, particularly the stirring melodies of pianist and composer Sergei Rachmaninoff, which resonated deeply with her soul. She cherished moments spent playing computer games, especially Solitaire, and reveled in the laughter shared while playing board games like Chinese Checkers and cards with her family. Cooking was another passion, as she loved hosting dinners for her family and friends, creating an atmosphere of togetherness and love. Janet also loved crochet and was very proud of the fact she was able to pass this love onto her granddaughter.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 at 10:00am at the Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. Family and friends will meet at the family gathering area at 9:45am. Visitation will be held from 11:00am-12:00pm at Northern Hills Christian Church, 9470 Winton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 with a memorial service at 12:00pm. A luncheon will follow the memorial service.
