Obituary for Jeanette Dorothy Davis

Born on October 13, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jeanette spent her life devoted to her family and her community, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and kindness.
Jeanette was the proud mother of Steve (Donna) Davis, Susan (Mike Farley) Davis, and Jeanie (Kevin) Bryant, who cherished her unwavering support and guidance throughout their lives. She was a guiding light not only to her children but also to her grandchildren: Lauren (Dan Sai) Davis, Jeffrey (Rachael Droll) Davis, Michael (Tonya) O’Malley, Alex (Sara) Bryant, and Aaron (Courtney) Bryant. Her heart swelled with pride as she embraced her great-grandchildren, Remy Davis, Winston Davis, and Trace O’Malley, with immeasurable joy.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, G. Allen Davis Jr., and parents, Anthony and Georgeana Wenzel.
A homemaker by profession, Jeanette’s true calling was nurturing her family and community. She was an active member of Groesbeck Community Church, where she participated in the Morning Glory Women’s Bible Study group and played a crucial role in establishing the Son Ministries food bank. Her commitment to service extended beyond the church, as she also contributed her time and energy to the Northwest Women’s Club.
Jeanette found joy and connection in the simple pleasures of life, particularly enjoying afternoons spent playing bridge with friends, where laughter and camaraderie flourished.

“Jeannie & Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was clearly a wonderful woman who supported all her children throughout their lives. I hope the memory of her and all that she taught you will bring you some comfort. I am also sorry that I cannot be at her celebration of life today. Please know that I am with you in spirit and am keeping all of you in my prayers. Lea Ann Patrick”
