Jerry Stewart

In Loving Memory of Jerry Stewart

Jerry Stewart, 77, a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, and adored great-grandfather, passed away on November 14, 2023. Jerry was born on September 19, 1946, in Pineville, Kentucky, to Steve and Fannie (nee Brock) Stewart.

Throughout his life, Jerry was known for his hard work and dedication in the construction industry. He spent many years working for J. Wheeler Construction, utilizing his skills to contribute to various projects. Jerry’s work ethic and determination were unmatched.

In his free time, Jerry found joy in simple pleasures. He loved spending peaceful mornings fishing or watching his favorite western movies and television shows with his wife. With a love for country music, he would sing and hum his favorite songs throughout the day. One of his favorite songs was Tennessee Whiskey, and he would often relax with a glass of ice water or diet soda in hand while enjoying the company of his beloved dog, Sugar.

Jerry found joy in observing the wonders of nature. He was captivated by the wildlife that surrounded him and took great pleasure in watching the birds and squirrels frolic in his yard. Family meant everything to Jerry, and he treasured every moment spent with his wife Deborah, his daughter Meranda (Russell), his son Greg (Eric), and his grandchildren Kristian (Arlandra), Nathaniel, Liam, and Ehren. The recent addition of his great-grandchild Eloise added even more joy to his life. He is also survived by his daughter, Donna Jean Stewart.

While Jerry had dreams of visiting Alaska for a once-in-a-lifetime vacation, life’s circumstances prevented him from making the journey. However, he always found comfort in visiting his hometown of Pineville, Kentucky, where he often reminisced about cherished memories.

Jerry’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. We invite you to join us in honoring Jerry’s life and celebrating his legacy.

Visitation will be held at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the blue line upon entering the memorial park) on November 22, 2023, at 10:00 AM. Jerry Stewart will forever be remembered as a compassionate and down-to-earth man who brought joy to those fortunate enough to have known him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
