JoAnn was preceded in death by her father Thomas Nussbaum and father-in-law Donald Jacobsen.
Born February 8, 1968, in Finneytown, Ohio, JoAnn was an avid softball player and cheerleader. JoAnn never met a stranger. JoAnn met Jake at Finneytown HS and started dating in January 1985. Jake was on the JV basketball team at Finneytown at the time and took his shot at JoAnn, captain of the varsity cheer team at a 5th quarter dance after a game. Nearly 40 years later and 33 years of marriage, Jake knows it was the best shot he took and made!
JoAnn and Jake dated for 6 years. Shortly after Jake graduated from UC, they married in July 1991. Matt was born in March 1995 and JoAnn stayed home to take care of Matt, the house, and Jake. Melissa was born on New Year’s Eve in 1997. JoAnn was the rock in the Jacobsen household. She took care of the kids and was ever present in their activities. Jake was able to focus on his CPG career and together they raised two smart, compassionate, caring, and incredible kids.
JoAnn’s health issues started in 2019. The love of the family persevered and they took dementia on and provided the best care and support for JoAnn. She will be missed by many!
