John B. Curso Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2025, at the age of 74. John lived a life marked by devotion to his family and a commitment to his community, and a joyful love of sports and competition.
John shared 54 wonderful years married to his devoted wife, Mary H. Curso. Together, they built a strong and loving family. He is survived by his wife, his children Kimberly Curso, Cynthia Dalid (Willy Dalid), Christina Eggers (Jason Eggers), and John Curso II (Megan G. Curso). John was also a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren whom he treasured. John was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Christina B. Curso, his sisters Mary Backherm and Delores C. Bock, and his brother James Curso.
Proud Roger Bacon graduate of 1969, John was proud of his roots and carried his school spirit with him throughout his life. He was an avid bowler and golfer and spent many years coaching and umpiring baseball – roles that allowed him to share his love of sports with young athletes. His legacy live on in the family he loved so deeply and the many lives he touched.
There will be a visitation for John on Friday, December 12th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Spring Grove Funeral Home of Tri-County (11285 Princeton Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45246). A funeral service will be held on Saturday morning at 9:00am at Spring Grove Funeral Home of Tri-County (11285 Princeton Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45246). His burial will immediately follow the service at Arlington Memorial Gardens (2155 Compton Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45231), then a reception back at Spring Grove Funeral Homes of Tri-County from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
