Mr. John Jivoin, age 89, passed away on June 15, 2023.
John was born on December 26, 1933, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Peter and Lillian Jivoin.
John is survived by his children; Cathy (Bobby) Hull, Debbie (Jerry) Reneman, John K. Jivoin, Lauri (Nick) Sachs, Richard (Susan) Jivoin , Dawn Jivoin-Bickers, Jason (Robin) Jivoin, and Ashley Jivoin. Grandchildren; Olivia Brandy, Winter, Jennifer, Jason, Jayme, Clinton, Monique, Clay, Cassidy, Charles, Valynn, Grant, Jason, Emily, Andrew and Alexis. Great-Grandchildren; Gilford, Brendon, Christian, Sophia, Daniel, Charlotte, Mollie and Sadie. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Cornell Jivoin and Betty Beal, his first wife Charlene Jacocks Bosken Anter and his life partner Diana Taylor.
John was known as the life of the party; he didn’t meet a stranger. He loved to brighten someone’s day with a classic “dad” joke. He enjoyed listening to classical and Italian music. John was very proud of his Romanian and Yugoslavian Heritage. He passed his love of the outdoors to his children, always having them outside. John absolutely loved the ocean and certainly passed that love on to his children. John will be missed by his family dearly and his legacy will continue through his children.
Visitation for John Jivoin will be held at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231- follow the blue line to the left once you enter the Memorial Park) at 10:00 AM on Wednesday June 21, 2023, until time of service at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Memorial Park.
