Jonathan Droste, age 79, passed away on February 24, 2023.
Jonathan was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 23, 1944.
Jonathan is survived by his siblings, Mary Kay Feller, and Marcia (Ronald) Grimmer, his nieces, Karyn (Frank) Catrine, Laura (Mark) Ruetschle, Lisa (Eric) Stuckey, Lynn Johnson, and nephews, David (Leslie) Feller, and Kevin (Sarah) Grimmer.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy Droste and his brother-in-law Allan Feller.
Jon graduated from the University of Cincinnati, with a major in electronics. Jon served in the United States Army as a Recon Observer. He maintained airborne infrared, radar, and navigational equipment and test flights while serving in Vietnam. After the army, Jon worked in the x-ray diffraction for the atomic energy at Fernald performing quality testing. Then he entered the property management field, assuming the building manager position for Alms and Doepke. He was promoted to property manager for inspectors for multiple companies. He was the facility operations administrator for the Federal Reserve Bank. After retirement from the position of Director of Environmental Services for Mercy St. Francis, he served on the legislative board of the Southeastern Ecumenical Ministry (eight years as chairperson, as well as historical and insurance administrator). Jon also sat on the board of Trustees for SEM Manor, filling the position of President for six years.
Jon loved his family, dogs, model trains, coin and currency collecting, nature, animals, classic cars and Old Testament history.
Memorial Visitation for Jonathan Droste will be held on Saturday April 8, 2023, at 12:00 PM at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the blue line to the left upon entering the memorial park) with Reverend Denise Weaver, officiating with service to begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
