Judith Ann Seymour

Judith Ann Seymour (Crittenden), 78, passed away peacefully at her home on February 16, 2026, of natural causes.

Born on April 17, 1947, in Westfield Center, Ohio, to Lawrence and Arlene Crittenden. Judy lived a life defined by service, compassion, and dedication to others. On July 22, 1972, she married the love of her life, Randy Seymour, in Westfield Center, Ohio. Together they built a life centered on family, faith in one another, and a deep commitment to their community.

Judy devoted 41 years to public education as both a teacher and counselor. She took immense pride in her work and cared deeply for every student who walked through her classroom or office. She believed in helping young people see their potential and worked tirelessly to encourage, guide, and uplift them. For Judy, education was not just a profession — it was a lifelong mission to make a difference.

Her generosity extended far beyond the school walls. Judy freely gave her time and resources to anyone in need. She was a dedicated supporter of Dress for Success Cincinnati, regularly donating professional clothing to help women build confidence and opportunity. She instilled in her children the importance of service, compassion, and giving back — a legacy that continues through them.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Randy Seymour of Cincinnati, Ohio; her daughter (Dolly), Joy Johnson (Seymour), and son-in-law, Joe Johnson, of London, Kentucky; her cherished grandchildren, Addison Johnson and Asher Johnson of London, Kentucky; her son, Justin Seymour of Cincinnati, Ohio; her brother, David Crittenden of Clearwater, Florida; and her sister, Joyce Niehaus of St. Louis, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Crittenden Jr., and her sister, Nancy Shafer.

Judy will be remembered for her kind heart, steady encouragement, generous spirit, and the countless lives she touched through both her profession and her quiet acts of service. Her grandchildren will forever hear her loving words, “I love you to the moon and back”, a phrase that perfectly captured the depth of her devotion to family.

A private visitation for immediate family will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in her name to Hospice of Cincinnati https://hospiceofcincinnati.org/donate/.
