June W. Priest

June Priest of Mt. Healthy, Ohio passed away on November 19, 2022, at the age of 93.

She was a kind person who was liked by everyone she met. She was born Margaret June Ware on August 19, 1929, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Carl Edward and Catherine Margaret Ware of Mt. Healthy, Ohio.

She is survived by her children Jennifer Alden, Gerald Priest, and Karin Francis; her grandchildren Kelly (Jared Razzano) Francis, Emily (Ryan) McClure, and Christopher Alden; and her great-grandson Emmett Razzano.

June was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Margaret, brother Gerald Ware, and former husband David.

She graduated from Mt. Healthy High School and attended Otterbein College, where she met David Priest. They married in 1950 and had three children; they divorced in 1969. June worked at the Ohio State Extension Office for many years before retiring and went on to work at an insurance company and a bookstore before officially retiring years later. She was highly active in her church and consistently had a full calendar, whether it was volunteering at a food pantry, contributing to a church event or program, visiting friends or family, or just getting her hair done, she was always busy. June loved to cook and bake and could always be counted on to make something delicious. She loved her family and always made it a priority to gather everyone together for birthdays, holidays, or even just dinner for no special reason. The only thing she loved more than her family and faith were Cincinnati sports, especially the Reds and UC Bearcats basketball.

Visitation will be held on Monday December 5, 2022, at 10:30 AM at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Mausoleum Chapel, 2145 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the red line upon entering the memorial park).

Services for Ms. June W. Priest will be held on Monday December 5, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Mausoleum Chapel, with Pastor Jerome Weaver, officiating. Private inurement to follow.
