Karen Gettes

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Karen Sue Gettes (nee Sowder), a beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, wife and friend.  Karen departed this life peacefully on January 13, 2026, surrounded by family and love.

Karen was born on November 20, 1958, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Shirley and Roy Sowder. From the very beginning, Karen radiated kindness, strength and love. She carried these qualities with her throughout her life, touching the hearts of everyone she met.
