Karen Rhea Krummen

Karen Rhea Krummen, 81, from Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully at sunrise on April 6, 2024. She was known for her infectious laughter and love for entertaining, always welcoming strangers as friends. Karen will forever be remembered for her adventurous spirit, and creating memorable celebrations for all of life’s special occasions bringing joy to those around her.  No one will ever hear ‘Rollin’ on the River’ without thinking of Karen as the life of the party.  Her love for life and family is her enduring legacy.

She was a life long member of St. Margaret Mary Church, where she attended grade school, received many of her Sacraments, and married the love of her life, Roger Krummen. After raising her children, Karen worked as an Administrative Assistant at Providence Hospital for many years before joining Roger in retirement. Karen and Roger traveled throughout the United States visiting every state capital with the exception of Hawaii.  Karen passed along her love of the Smoky Mountains to her grandchildren with many vacations to their second home, Misty Dream, creating life long cherished memories.

She leaves behind her beloved spouse of 61 years, Roger Krummen, children; Roger (Michelle) Krummen, Jennifer (Rob) Wibbelsman, Rick (Mindi) Krummen; grandchildren, Alec Krummen, Christina Krummen, Sharon Krummen, Conor (Taylor) Krummen, Amber Wibbelsman, brother-in-law, Ron Krummen, and Karen’s future great-granddaughter, Adeline Rhea Marie Krummen. Karen also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, William and Catherine Kleine, brother, Fenton Kleine, brother and sister-in-law, Bob (Theresa) Krummen, and sister-in-law, Audrey Krummen.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231. Once on the grounds of the memorial park, follow the BLUE line to the funeral home.
