Kenneth Dunigan

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Dunigan, a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Ken, known to many as a local legend at the pool table, was born on July 6, 1935, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026.

Ken was a devoted family man who took great pride in providing for those he loved. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Foster, son-in-law David Foster, and his grandsons, Mark and Patrick Foster, who will forever cherish his love, wisdom, and unwavering support. Ken is also survived by many nieces and nephews. One of Ken’s greatest joys was teaching his grandsons to appreciate his love for jazz, and to play pool, sharing not only his remarkable skill but also his patience and love for the game. He was their biggest fan, rarely missing an important moment—whether it was sporting events, art shows, graduations, and even college move-in day.

Ken embraced life with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure. He enjoyed fishing and camping, trying his luck at the casino, cruising with his family, and traveling to some of his favorite destinations, including Siesta Key, Panama City, the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, Jamaica, and Las Vegas. He had an eye for finding unique treasures wherever he went and never lost his appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. A proud Cincinnati native, he remained a lifelong fan of Skyline Chili, a favorite meal he enjoyed sharing with family and friends.

Although his talent at the pool table earned him admiration, those who knew Ken best will remember him most for his quiet strength, gentle kindness, and generous heart. He never sought the spotlight, yet his steady presence brought comfort and joy to everyone around him. Whether spending time with family, enjoying a game of pool, or relaxing on a sunny beach, Ken had a remarkable way of making every moment feel special.

Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Dunigan; his parents, McKinley and Catherine Dunigan; his children, Deanna and Mark Dunigan; and his siblings, Irene Vance, Jack Dunigan, Louise Hopper, Alfred Dunigan, Robert Dunigan, Joyce Dunigan, Lorraine Dunigan, and Shirley Petit.

As we gather to honor Ken’s life, we celebrate a man whose love for his family, loyalty to his friends, and quiet generosity touched countless lives. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy will live on in the stories shared around pool tables, family gatherings, and the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ken’s life. Visitation will be held at Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (follow the blue line upon entering the memorial garden) on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., with interment immediately following in the Garden of Gethsemane.
