KANTA, Laurie Anne, age 65 of Lebanon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. Laurie was born on March 21, 1958, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the daughter of Allen Kanta Sr. and Joyce Durban. Laurie was a graduate of Little Miami High School. After high school, she attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she earned her bachelor’s degree. Laurie worked for Kanta & Company CPAs, where she was an accountant. Laurie loved her dogs and enjoyed spending time at her Florida home in Destin. She also enjoyed spending time cheering on the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals and the OSU Football team.

Laurie was preceded in death by her brothers Steve Sanker and Bill Sanker, and her sister Becky Waller. In addition to her parents, Laurie is survived by her significant other, Larry Deariso; son Dan Robinson; brother Allen (Kenda) Kanta Jr; sisters Susan (Wayne) Sanker-Sperry, Kay Sanker, and Betsy (Roger) Galloway; as well as many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 31st, 2024, from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Stine Funeral Home. Laurie will be laid to rest the following day in a private service at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Mt. Healthy, Ohio with Pastor Steve Tufts officiating.
