LaVerne Hart

LaVerne Hart, 83, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday October 23, 2025 in her residence. She was born April 8, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Ruth (Murdock) Vornberg.

She was a devoted member of Fairfield First Baptist Church.

Laverne enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and especially treasured her get togethers with her life long friends, affectionately known as “The Jolly Girls.” Their laughter and friendship remained a source of happiness throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband David Hart; son Charles (Rhonda) Bogenschutz Jr., daughter Sandra (Akpan) Forbes, step-son Sean (Lisa) Hart and step-daughter Libby (Michael) Barlow; nineteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, brother Lawrence (Margie) Vornberg, sister Ruth Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son David Bogenschutz and sister Joyce Long.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 – 11 AM Wednesday October 29, 2025 in the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 11 AM with Pastor Tim White officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Gardens.
