Obituary for Lela Rose Deffinger
May 6, 1944 – April 5, 2025
Lela Rose Deffinger, born on May 6, 1944, in Armithwate, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lela was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to many, cherished for her kindness, warmth, and spirit.
Lela found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid walker, often seen enjoying nature’s beauty. A creative soul, she loved scrapbooking, capturing precious memories to share with her loved ones. Playing cards with friends and family brought her joy and laughter, creating cherished moments that will be fondly remembered.
A devoted member of Liberty Heights Church, Lela built a strong sense of community and fellowship within her congregation. She instilled in her family the values of faith, compassion, and love for one another, principles that will continue to guide them in her absence.
Lela is survived by her loving sons, Wayne and Bryan Deffinger, and her daughter, Wendy Easter, as well as 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Rodney Loudin, and sister, Myra Bess.
Lela was preceded in death by her parents, Elmon Sewell and Claudia Loudin, and step-father, Gilbert Loudin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 at 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am at Liberty Heights Church, 7904 Princeton Road, Liberty Township, OH 45044.
