Linda Back

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Back, who left us peacefully on April 2, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on January 5, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse in Private Care, where her compassion and ability to connect with those in need shone brightly.

Linda was a force of nature—feisty, fun, and full of life. She had a passion for country music, arts, and plays, and she adored camping with her family. Her fierce love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was unmatched. Linda valued family above all else; she joyfully celebrated each milestone and cherished every moment spent together.

She is survived by her loving children: Sherry (Jeff) Downey, Jim (Donna) Back, Holly (Craig) Noonan, Jeff (Marilyn) Back, and Tim (Karen) Back. Linda also leaves behind her brothers Buddy Reece, Jay (Vicki) Reece, Terry (Kim) Reece, Jeff Reece, and Mark Reece, as well as her sister-in-law Joanne Back. Linda will be remembered fondly by her grandchildren Justin (Miranda) Back, Jamie (Allison) Back, Krishrina Mitchell, Brittany Noonan, Joe Bonavita, Saddie Rowan, Erika Downey, Avery Downey, Justine (Tyler) Fischvogt, and Sarah Back, her great-grandchildren, Kashton, Harper, Zeke, Huey, Calvin, Colson, Ava, Levi, Evelyn, Morgan, Natalie, Colton, Lincoln, Sophia, and Kaylee.

Linda was not one to hold back and lived life with no filter, always sharing her thoughts and spreading laughter. Her spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life service for Linda at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Springfield Township, Ohio 45231 (follow the blue line upon entering the memorial park). Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. We invite all who loved her to join us in celebrating Linda’s extraordinary life, full of love and laughter.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Samuel Reece and her beloved husband James Back.
