Obituary for Linda Lou Carney

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Lou Carney on March 25, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on January 17, 1944, in Charles Town, West Virginia, Linda spent her life sharing her love and compassion with those around her, especially as a devoted foster parent alongside her late husband, Charles. Together, they opened their hearts and home to countless children for over 20 years, creating a safe and nurturing environment that many still hold dear.

Linda was also well-known for her role in the cafeteria at Princeton Schools, where her warm smile and generous spirit left a lasting impact on students and staff alike. She found joy in cooking for and feeding others-not only did she delight in preparing meals for her family and friends, but she also dedicated her time to serve at homeless shelters, ensuring those in need felt cared for and valued.

A deeply spiritual individual, Linda loved to share her faith and witness to others about God. Her commitment to service defined her life, and she approached each day with a giving heart, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Linda is survived by her beloved children, Cheri Carney, Wesley Carney, Stephanie Hall, and Lindsey Carney; step-son, William Carney; her cherished grandchildren Joshua (Lillie), Madison (Mike), Liera, Joey, Marissa (Jonathan), Jason, James, Jennifer, and Megan (Wyley); as well as her great-grandchildren Colson Naegele, Ruth Carney, and Charlie Carney as well as many other great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Ronnie (Barbara) Henderson as well as niece and nephew, Rhonda and Patrick (Margaret). Her family will forever be grateful for the love, laughter, and life lessons she imparted.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Carney, father, Paul Henderson, mother, Beata Henderson, and step-son, Robert Carney.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 7th, 2025 from 12:00-1:00pm at Northern Hills Christian Church, 9470 Winton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. A funeral service will follow at 1:00pm.
