Obituary via Strawser Funeral Home

Lois A. Hirsch (nee Kraus), age 98, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025. Beloved widow of Edward A. Hirsch Sr.

Loving mother of Lynn (Terry) Daum and Ned (Catherine) Hirsch.

Grandmother of Todd (Angela) Daum, Troy (Jennifer)Daum, Brian (Kallie)Hirsch and Kevin Hirsch

Great Grandmother of seven and Great Great Grandmother to two.

Preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Lawrence, George and Howard Kraus and three sisters, Helen Kaylor, Margaret (Marge) Kroeger and Elizabeth (Dolly) Beck.

If asked, Lois would tell you she wasn’t a joiner. However, her life would tell a different story. Involved in many activities with her church circle, bowling league, boat club friends and Deer Park Fire Department wives, she lead a full and fun life. She and Ed enjoyed traveling, with their favorite vacation being a 2 week cruise on the Delta Queen.

A loving mother, she was involved in dance recitals, band concerts and scouting events. Always there to cheer us on, pick up the pieces and dust us off, and a hug and kiss to make it all better. Described as a hoot and a firecracker, she always left us laughing.

She was a 50 year resident of Deer Park and a parishioner at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church 7754 Montgomery Road Cincinnati, OH 45236 where visitation will be on Tuesday, January 14th at 10:30 am., until the funeral mass at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Gardens at Mt Healthy. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to your local humane animal shelter or preferred animal rescue.
