Obituary via Paul Young Funeral Home

Lynn Edward Hirsch, age 85, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Lynn was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a quiet and humble man who didn’t need many words to show how much he loved the people around him.

Lynn was married to the love of his life, Jane, for 62 years. Jane passed away on April 11, 2026. Lynn adored his wife, and their love for one another was the foundation of their family. Together, they built a beautiful life and a home that meant so much to them.

Lynn loved his home, the house he and Jane built together in 1974, and especially his yard. He took great pride in caring for it and loved cutting the grass with his tractor. He was happiest sitting on his deck, looking out over the yard he loved so much. Those quiet moments brought him great peace and happiness.

Before macular degeneration took away his ability to enjoy it, Lynn loved to fish. He also enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals and looked forward to every season. He was a hardworking man who worked as a land surveyor and was known by his family as someone who could fix anything. If something was broken, Lynn would figure it out. His family could always count on him.

But more than anything, Lynn loved his family. He was a steady, loving presence in their lives and showed his love not through grand gestures, but through the countless things he did for the people he cared about. His quiet nature, kindness, strength, and willingness to always help will be deeply missed.

Lynn is survived by his children, Danny (Debbie) Hirsch, Amy Hirsch, and Lea Ann Hirsch (Dave Schmitt); his grandchildren, Madalyn (Brad) Minges, Shelby (Dakota) Hacker, Katelyn Hirsch, Elizabeth (Zack) Young, and Clay (Jesie) Burton; and his great-grandchildren, Tucker, Carter, Remington, Mae, and Rhett. He is also survived by his brother, Denny (Kathy) Hirsch, along with his nieces and nephews and many beloved cousins.

Lynn’s greatest legacy is the family he and Jane built together. Though he was a quiet man, the love he had for his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, extended family, and friends was unmistakable.

His family will forever cherish the memories of him sitting on his deck overlooking his beloved yard, working around his home, fishing, fixing things, watching his favorite teams, and simply being there for the people he loved.

Lynn and Jane are together again, and their family will carry their love with them always.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. ❤️

Because Lynn was a simple man and didn’t like to dress up, please wear jeans and your favorite Cincinnati Reds or Cincinnati Bengals shirt to honor his memory.
