Manuel Mediodia, age 96, passed away on April 21, 2023. Manuel was born in the Philippines where he grew up and studied medicine. He later moved to the United States, becoming a citizen, and continuing his education.
Manuel is survived by his son, Manuel Mediodia, III, and grandson, Manuel “Manny” Mediodia, IV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, his devoted wife, Ilene Mediodia and his daughter, Mallory Marie Rapheal.
Manuel was known to many as Dr. Manuel Mediodia, serving the community for over 30 years as a Family Practitioner. He enjoyed helping others and being able to assist with their care during illness and even required surgeries from time to time. He served as the “fight doctor” with the Cincinnati Amateur Boxing Club for well over 10 years. Football and Baseball were his favorite sports, the Bengals and Reds were amongst his favorites. Manuel had gifted hands, because not only was he a physician, but he had the gift with musical instruments as well. He could play almost any instrument placed in his hands, having the ability to read music allowed him to play string instruments and keyboard instruments. One of his enjoyable hobbies was finding treasures at flea markets and shopping, which he often did after retirement.
A Private Memorial Service will be held by the family with an inurnment held at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, 45231 at a later date.
