Marion Luley Brockfield

Marion Christine Brockfield, passed away at the age of 91 on July 17, 2024. She was born on November 11, 1932, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Marion met Gerald Brockfield and they married on December 16, 1995, and he survives. Marion is also survived by her daughters Carol (Stephanie) McQueary, Barbara (Chad) Rubenow, Yvonne (Bryan) Rosenberger, grandchildren, Ashley McQueary, Ryan McQueary, Emma Rubenow and Abby Rubenow and many extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Luley and Ruth Luley, along with her brothers, Robert Luley and Wilbur Luley.

Marion lived a fulfilling life dedicated to helping others as a nurse in various healthcare settings, ultimately retiring as Supervisor of Nursing at Westover Retirement Community. Marion also worked for Fort Hamilton Hospital on the Psychiatric Unit. She was a home health nurse at United Healthcare.

Marion has also volunteered as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for abused and neglected children. She was known for her kind heart, artistic talents, and passion for travel. Marion enjoyed creating vibrant paintings, navigating the world with Gerald, and experiencing diverse cultures around the globe. Marion even went ziplining in Costa Rica, enjoyed luaus in Hawaii and hiking in Nova Scotia.

Marion was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church where she was part of the Stephens Ministry group.

Services for Marion will be on Monday, August 5th 11:00 AM at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 101 South Lebanon Road, Loveland, Ohio 45140. Marion’s memory will forever remain in our hearts, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all.
