Marjorie Jane Morgan

February 25, 1946 – october 12, 2025

Marjorie Jane Morgan

It is with great sadness we share the passing of Marjorie Jane Morgan, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, who peacefully departed this life surrounded by love.

Known as Jane to those who loved her, she was married for 55 wonderful years to her devoted husband, Richard Morgan, until his passing in 2023. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and faith. She was the most amazing mother to her daughter, Abby Lynn, who will forever cherish her kindness, strength, and unwavering love.

Born to Margaret and Richard Mahan, she grew up with her older brothers, Dick, Dave, and Dan, all of whom preceded her in death. She shared a deep and lasting bond with her sisters-in-law, Vivian Morgan and Janet Morgan (deceased); her sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Harry Zimmer; and her longtime friend, Bev Kahle.

She was a proud and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, including Scott, Rhonda, Riley, Carlee, Scarlette, MacKenzie, and Cory Mahan; Lisa, Bronson, Colton, and Maddie Lakes; Shelley Mahan, Mary Gillette, and Julia Saylor; and Todd, Larissa, Luke, Noah, and Julia Kahle. She is also survived by countless dear friends who became her extended family.

Her career as a longtime substitute teacher with Reading Community Schools allowed her to touch the lives of many students, leaving a lasting impact on generations of Reading residents. She also enjoyed an active life, playing golf, volleyball, soccer, bowling, tennis, and softball. Her beautiful garden was a source of pride and earned her many awards and recognitions over the years.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the compassionate caregivers who provided loving support during her final years—especially Miana, Latrince, and Lacey; the caring and dedicated staff at the Summit of Blue Ash; and the supportive and loving team at Queen City Hospice. Their kindness and compassion brought comfort and peace to both her and her family.

Her quiet demeanor, kind heart, and quick laugh will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services will take place on Thursday, October 23rd at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 (follow the blue line upon entering the memorial park). Visitation will be at 10:00 am with a short service to follow at 11:30 am. Burial will take place immediately following at noon.

Donations in her memory may be made to Reading Community City Schools 810 Columbia Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45215 in honor of her lifelong commitment to education and the Reading Community.

Guest Book

“Abby, I am so very sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I remember her being out biggest cheerleader during softball and through all the years of school. May you find comfort in knowing she is now with her love. With deepest sympathy, Tina”
