A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mary Jane Branscum, who left this world peacefully on October 1, 2026. Born on January 17, 1942, in Marshe’s Siding, KY, to Cleo and Dot Branscum, Mary Jane was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of everyone around her.
Raised in Loveland, Ohio, Mary Jane attended Wilmington College, and it was here that she began to forge her path in life. She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Jenny Callahan, and is survived by her cherished baby sister, Beverly Collins. Mary Jane’s family tree also extends to her dear nieces and nephews: Deana Wilisch, Michael Callahan, Rachel Crescibene, and Wes Collins, all of whom were lucky enough to know her warmth and humor.
Mary Jane started her career with IBM in Atlanta, where her passion and dedication shined through. After retiring, she embraced a second career that took her across the country—an adventure tailor-made for someone who loved to travel as much as she did.
Those who knew her can attest that when Mary Jane walked into a room, she lit it up and made sure she was noticed. Her vivacious spirit was unmatched, and she truly valued her friendships, often hosting lively dinner parties filled with laughter and good food. After retirement, she immersed herself in the Stephens Ministry, nurturing her deep Christian faith and sharing it with those around her.
Rest in peace, Mary Jane. You will be missed dearly.
