Michael A. Himes, 71, June 21, 2025, Green Township. Beloved husband of Brenda Keesee Himes, devoted father of Robert A. Himes (Nyoka) & Sarah J. Himes (Brian), loving grandfather of Leena Himes-Beck, dear brother of Karon Stockman (Lowell) & Karol Cannon, beloved son of the late Flora L. Kilgore Carpenter & Harry L. Himes. Also survived by nieces & nephews. Mike was a union electrician, affiliated with IBEW #212 & a longtime employee of Mayers Electric. His avocation was Freemasonry wherein he received the 33rd degree & was installed Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of Ohio in 2006. His Masonic affiliations included North Bend Lodge #346, Gateway Lodge # 109, Cincinnati Council #1, Cincinnati Commandery #3, Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, Syrian Shrine, Mt. Healthy Chapter #365 OES & Jacques DeMolay Council #371 Allied Masonic Degrees. (For Mike’s complete Masonic history, please consult https://www.freemason.com/pgm/2007-michael-a-himes). He was also a longtime member & treasurer of the North Bend Methodist Church & president of the IBEW Retirees Club. Friends are invited to join the family on Sunday, June 29, at the Scottish Rite Cathedral of the Cincinnati Masonic Center, 317 E. 5th St., Cinti. 45202 for a visitation from 12-3 PM followed by a Masonic funeral at 3 PM. Interment Mon., June 30, 11:30 AM, Arlington Memorial Gardens, Mt. Healthy.
