Michael Joseph Casagrande, age 77, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2022.
Michael was born in Cincinnati, OH, to Oscar and Geraldine Casagrande. He attended North College Hill High School, graduating in 1964. After high school Michael joined the United States Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he went to work at Cincinnati Bell where he worked as a computer programmer for the 911 system until his retirement.
Michael was passionate about music. He was a CB and Ham licensed radio operator, WB8ZDU and even started his own radio station, WNCH, which broadcasted in the North College Hill area. He had an impressive record collection and was invited to DJ his high school class reunion.
Michael married Barbara Brown, who preceded him in death in 2010. Michael is survived by his children, Valerie Casagrande, Mike (Angela) Casagrande and Victoria Casagrande; grandchildren, Christian Joerger, Zachary (Elizabeth) Joerger, Sarah Elliott, Anthony D’Amico, Andrew Casagrande, Adam Casagrande, Aaron Casagrande, Michael Casagrande, Evan Casagrande, Megan Casagrande and Alexander Casagrande; great-grandchildren, Nora Joerger and Jack Joerger; siblings, Jill Casagrande, Kim (Kimberly) Casagrande and many extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, with services held immediately afterward at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road 45231. Once on the grounds of the memorial park, turn left and follow the blue line to the funeral home. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens
