Weil Kahn Funeral Home is assisting the Family

Obituary via Weil Kahn Funeral Home

OKUM, Milton J., age 96, passed away December 21, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Bonnie Lou Okum, devoted brother of the late Leo (Ginny) Okum and Peggy (Dr. Aaron) Katz, loving stepfather of Connie (Ed) Wernet, caring grandfather of David and Emily, dear uncle of Neil (Judy) Okum, Ken Okum, David (Betty) Okum, Jay (Joan) Katz, Robert (Shelley) Katz, Nancy (Arthur Berman) Katz Berman, Terry Katz, and numerous great nieces and nephews and their families.

Milt was a proud member of the Masons, Scottish Rite, and Jesters, and served in WWII in the 44th Infantry Division, 324th Regiment “Wildcats.” He had plenty of family who saw him as Uncle Milt, but he was much more than that. David and Betty saw him as “Dad II” and a best friend. All of Milt’s family and friends knew him as “Magical Milt,” a gentle, caring guy.

Private services will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Wounded Warrior Project, American Cancer Society, or Honor Flight would be appreciated. Celebration of life at a later date.
