Patricia A. Dowers

On the evening of Sunday, March 12, 2023, Patricia (Pat) Dowers passed away at the age of 80. Pat was the beloved wife to her husband, Bill, and mother to five children, Vernon (JoAnn) Dowers, Ron (Rosie) Dowers, Kim (Frank) Schmidt, Kelly (the late Nick) Pohlman, and William (Sarah) Dowers, Jr. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Siblings; Frank, Mary, Alberta, LaVerne, Dolores, Ginny Sue, and Rosie. Along with a host of many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Patricia was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Albert and Mary Schnetzer. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Virginia Penny, Joseph, Albert, and an angel grandbaby. 

In 1963, Pat married Bill and began their love story. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She took pride in cooking and made sure that her family had a loving home. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and vacationing at the beach. Pat was a natural caregiver, not only to her children and grandchildren, but also to her late mother-in-law, June Campbell. She enjoyed watching all her grandchildren play sports and was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 5361 Dry Ridge Rd- Cincinnati, OH 45252) with Mass of Christian burial to begin at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.

In honor of Pat’s life, please feel free to make memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
