Patricia Joan Denicola, a beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated nurse, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on September 19, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Patricia made her mark on the world through her compassionate care of others and her commitment to family and community.
Patricia’s early years were filled with adventures in Girl Scouts, where she learned the importance of service and kindness. Known for her passion for sewing, she often spent her spare time making cozy blankets for those in need, reflecting her generous spirit and nurturing heart. Her dedication to caring for others blossomed into a rewarding career as an RN then achieving Nurse Practitioner. She worked at and with Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital, where she touched countless lives while working in the baby unit and burn unit. Many years as a homecare nurse for those that wanted care where they were comfortable. Patricia was also floor nurse at the VA hospital helping our veterans until she retired from Nursing.
Patricia took pride in teaching aspiring nurses, instilling in them the same passion for caregiving that defined her life.
A true embodiment of love, will-power and generosity, Patricia cherished family gatherings, especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas. She had a special tradition of welcoming anyone who needed a place to celebrate, often inviting friends, neighbors, and even strangers to join the family table. Her warmth and compassion extended beyond her immediate family, as she volunteered her time at various health clinics, aiding those less fortunate.
Patricia leaves behind her cherished children, Ronald Denicola, Jr., and Mark Denicola, along with six grandchildren—Anthony, Danielle, Jasmine, Lauren, and Ronald, III—who all lovingly remember her as a guiding light and comfort in their lives.
