Join us as we celebrate the life of Patricia Josephine Yards, born on March 17, 1938, in Beattyville, KY, and raised in Connersville, IN. She passed away on September 6, 2024, in Cincinnati, OH, living a life full of love and family.
Pat was beloved by many, especially her husband of over 66 years, Richard G. Yards, sons Steve (Trish) Yards, Randy (Lori) Yards, and Scott (Leah) Yards, grandchildren, Ryan (Ariana) Yards, Christopher (Laura) Yards, Drew (Christina) Yards, Allie (Alex) Hoying, Megan (Justin) Yards, Camden Yards, and Avery Yards, great-grandchildren, Riley, Larkin, Millie, Wesson, Cora, Lily, Patrick, Brynn, Jack, Addie, Alaya, Cruz, Clete, Isla, Lane and many extended relatives and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents Robert “Bob” and Gertrude Ash, siblings, Robert Ash, Martin Ash, JoAnn Ash, Helen Powell, Phyllis Pflum and Jim Ash.
She dedicated her days to her family, finding joy in cooking and baking meals like green beans with ham, cheesy potato casserole, her famous beef and noodles, and Mississippi mud pies that never failed to bring smiles to their faces.
Pat loved nothing more than attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events. She also enjoyed spending Friday mornings bowling at Western Bowl, where her impressive scores often made the local papers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon. The funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231. Once on the grounds of the memorial park, turn left and follow the BLUE line to the funeral home.
Pat will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
