Paul Courtland Qualls, age 97, formerly of Dry Ridge, KY, passed away Tuesday November 8, 2022 at Gallatin Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw. Born January 11, 1925 in Wheat, TN, he was the son of the late Bert Augusta and Flora Ethel Courtney Qualls.

In 1962 Paul was united in marriage to the former Wilma Lou Wynn; she preceded him in death on February 23, 1966. In 1982 he married the former Merriem May Russell; she also preceded him in death on January 10, 2015.  He worked as a machinist on jet aircraft and rocket engines with General Electric Aviation.  He began his career with G E in Evendale, OH; in 1992 he retired in Ontario, CA after a long and illustrious career in the aviation industry. He loved General Motors products, particularly his trucks and Oldsmobile cars and enjoyed fishing at Dale Hollow Lake. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Cincinnati.

He is survived by one son: Bryant Allen Qualls of Alexandria, VA; one daughter: Regina Kay Lundy of Menifee, CA and one sister: Patty Calloway of Kingston, TN, along with five step-children, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother: John Houston Qualls and four sisters: Pansy Qualls, Fleeta Williams, Sue Muecke and Polly McGuffin

Graveside services will be held Saturday November 19, 2022 in the Garden of Gethsemane section of Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati at 12 Noon.  Memorial contributions may be made in Paul’s memory to: Alzheimer’s Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, Suite 1026, 644 Linn St., Cincinnati, OH  45203.
