Phillip Peter Olden

Phillip Peter Olden

Mr. Phillip Peter Olden, age 81, passed away on January 10, 2024, surrounded by family.

Phil was born in Cincinnati, OH to Janice Olden and Art Sacchetti, and was later adopted by Walter Olden. He graduated from Colerain High School in 1960. After high school, Phil enlisted in the United States Navy, serving for 2 years. Upon his return, he married Julianna Halterman of Hamilton, Ohio on October 24, 1964.

Phil worked for IBM Retiring in 2003, after 38 years of service. After retirement, he worked at Pebble Creek Golf Course and Event Center’s Pro Shop. He also coached many teams through the years including football, softball, baseball, and Phil also served as a 4-H advisor for more than 15 years.

Phil never knew a stranger, and was loved by everyone he met. His sarcastic nature and deep love for kids will be missed by all who knew him. He is no doubt, relaxing with a Manhattan, in his boxers, in his arm chair.

Phillip is survived by his wife of 59 years, Julianna Olden, children, Eric (Rhonda) Olden, Tracy (Darren) Inman, grandchildren, Erica Olden, Illana Olden, Evan Olden, Joshua Inman, Kieran Olden, great-grandson, Leo Baker, siblings, Marc (Gemma) Olden and Jeff Olden, cousin, Mike (Sandy) Condo, and many extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Phillip Anthony Olden, and sister, Sandy Gardner and brother, Steven Olden.

A celebration of Phil’s life will be held at Pebble Creek Gold Course and Event Center, 9799 Prechtel Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45252, on January, 24, 2024,with visitation being held from 11:00 AM until the services begin at 1:00 PM. Guests are then invited to the Celebration portion of Phil’s services where light refreshments will be provided as stories are continued to be told.
