In loving memory of Raymond C. Ott, who was born on June 26, 1935, and peacefully passed away on June 21, 2025 at the age of 89, surrounded by his loving family. A kind and gentle soul, Raymond never met a stranger and touched the lives of many with his warmth and generous spirit. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Raymond is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife of 61 years, the late Marlene M. Ott (nee Huelsmann). Together, they built a loving and nurturing home, raising their cherished daughters, Linda Ott, Carole Ott, and Jennifer (Josh) Shkolnik. He took immense joy in being a loving grandfather to Jasmine Herbert, Sam Shkolnik, Allison Shkolnik, Emily Shkolnik, and Jacob Shkolnik, instilling in them the values of compassion and laughter that he held so dearly. He was also a dear brother to the late Joseph (Darlene) Ott and brother-in-law to Martin (late Shirley) Huelsmann and Robert (Karen) Huelsmann. Raymond’s spirit will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his family, and his legacy will live on through stories filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
A proud veteran of the US Air Force, Raymond took great pride in his service to his country. He enjoyed a fulfilling career at Cincinnati Gas and Electric, where his commitment to helping others flourished. His colleagues became lifelong friends, and the memories he shared with them brought him immense joy. Even after retirement, his kindness and support remained a beacon of light for many.
As an active parishioner and devoted long-time member of St. Ann Church, Raymond’s spirit of service shone through his volunteer work at church events and coaching football, reflecting his deep commitment to his community. He found joy on the golf course at Hartwell Country Club, relishing in both the camaraderie of the game and treasured moments shared with friends. His love for life extended to memorable vacations at the beach, as well as timeless cruises, where he embraced the beauty of new experiences and were a testament to his love for adventure and cherished time with family.
A visitation will be held at St. Ann Church, 2900 W. Galbraith Rd., on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
