A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rhonda Lynn Lahmann, a beloved member of the community of Colerain, Ohio. Rhonda was born on May 7, 1962, and peacefully left us on October 30, 2024. She was a dedicated Librarian in the field of education, working for New Miami City Schools.
Throughout her life, Rhonda found joy in many activities, such as roller skating with the Tri-Skateland Speed Team, crocheting, and quilting. A passionate reader, especially of light romance novels, she cherished time spent watching Christmas shows on the Hallmark Channel, as well as TV Land with her nieces and nephews. During the winter months, she enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles with her family. Rhonda’s love for her family, including her grandson Raymond, was immense and she particularly enjoyed lunch and shopping outings with her sisters and nieces.
Rhonda’s commitment to her community was unparalleled, and her selfless efforts led to October 12, 2022, being officially declared as Rhonda Lahmann Day in Colerain. She was a valued member of the CPA and CFA. Her enthusiasm for her career as a librarian shone through in her interactions with young readers, bringing joy through stories like “Go Away Monster.”
She leaves to cherish her mother, Helen Lahmann, her siblings Ron (the late Karen), Shirley (George), Terry (Betty Ann) and Sandy (the late Craig), her children, Raymond (Leslie) and Randall (Jasmine), her grandson Raymond and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her father Fred Lahmann Jr. and her brother Fred Lahmann III.
Friends and family are invited to honor Rhonda’s memory at the upcoming funeral services and ceremonies. A Visitation will take place at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 11:00 am, followed by Service at 12:00 pm, with the burial following in the Garden of Last Supper.
Celebratory Reception will be held at Southland Baptist Church, 2485 Springdale Road, 45231. All are welcome to attend.

“Rhonda was a angel in every sense of the word, when my mom was sick she would stop by with pastries to cheer her up, she always stopped by to say hi and check up on her know matter how she was feeling. That meant so much to me, Rhonda would text me telling me when she stopped by moms house and how she was smiling and laughing. Rhonda and I grew up together and had some great times, going to school together, we just had a bond and a good friendship. I am so sad to learn of Rhonda’s passing but I am relieved she is no longer in pain, she whooped the beast and now is at rest. Love you Rhonda ! Keeping the entire family in my thoughts and prayers 🙏”

“Rhonda was a true friend to all who knew her. She was a person who would always put others’ needs before her own, even when she got extremely sick. She never complained, kept a smile on her face, and showed the whole community through her dedication, who she truly was…and who we all should want to be – loving, kind, passionate, caring, determined, brave. Rhonda was fiery and funny and could always brighten your day, just by being in the room. She inspired so many around her and will forever be missed – but never forgotten.”
