Rita Colleen Cooper age 77 of Fairfield passed away on Wednesday October 9, 2024. She was born on January 26, 1947 the daughter of the late Jesse and Bessie (nee Richardson) Land. Mrs. Cooper was married to Steven E. Cooper for over 37 years and he preceded her in death in 2014. She is survived by her two children Ron (Debbie) Klare and Lisa (Stuart) Brazie; three grandchildren Ryan (Kelsey) Klare, Emily Colleen (Andrew) Corcoran, and Annamarie Geoghegan, as well as six great grandchildren. Rita also leaves behind many other family and close friends. Colleen was an extremely selfless person who epitomized the caregiver role. She spent her career in service as a Registered Nurse after graduating from the University of Miami with honors, even providing extended professional nursing care to family members. Visitation will be on Monday October 14, 2024 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 12:30PM until the time of the funeral at 1:30PM with Pastor Richard Kerth officiating.
