Hiser, Roy Franklin, age 93, of Colerain Township, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 in New Jersey. He was born in Landis, Grant County, West Virginia on May 23, 1930 to Bert Franklin and Minnie Jane (Stump) Hiser. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Juanita (Hanlin) of 63 years; his parents; sisters – Dorcas Hiser, Elaine Ours, Eileen Dove; brothers – Ronald, Quentin, Warren, Keith; grandsons – Ray Hiser, Preston Webb. Roy is survived by his beloved sister, Mary Frances (Fanny) Pryor; children, Randall F. (Gail) Hiser, Jeffrey A. (Jennifer) Hiser, Nancie A. (John) Hiser-Webb, Julia G. (Christopher) Meyer and Timothy P. Hiser; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a good friend Marilyn Lutz; and a host of other family members and friends. Roy was in Boy Scout Troop 63 in Petersburg West Virginia. He graduated in 1947 from Petersburg High School. He was self-employed as a photographer. Roy served in the Navy as a Yoman on the USS Zellers DD777 And on the USS Wasp CVA 18 as a mail clerk. He worked for Taylor Publishing Company as an accountant. He worked for Gwernen Watch Company as an accountant. Roy worked for the Postal Service working in several positions. He worked at Arlington Memorial Gardens as a ground keeper. He was an usher for the Reds at the Cincinnati Reds Stadium. He was a member of the Free Mason, Royal Arch, Scottish Right, Cumminsville Chapter, Masonic Lodge He was a faithful member of his church, Christ, the Prince of Peace UMC. He was a member of the Tin Can group from Ross, Ohio.

Visitation from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Christ, the Prince of Peace United Methodist Church, 10507 Colerain Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45252. The Services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Christ, the Prince of Peace UMC. Interment will immediately follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens. In loving memory of Roy, contributions may be made to Christ, the Prince of Peace United Methodist Church, 10507 Colerain Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45252 or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
