Sandra Sue Mitchell

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sandra Sue Mitchell, aged 79, who departed this life on May 27, 2026. Born on February 2, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Sandra was a beloved resident of Fairfield, Ohio, where she nurtured a loving home and laid the foundation for cherished memories with her family and friends.

Sandra epitomized kindness and compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her spirit radiated warmth, and she was known to brighten any room with her presence. In her earlier years, she was a proud member of the former UC Bearkittens, the esteemed dance and spirit squad of the University of Cincinnati, where she showcased her passion for dance and community. Although the Bearkittens team was officially disbanded in 1989, Sandra’s dedication to the spirit of the university and its students continued to shine brightly throughout her life.

Sandra earned her Bachelor’s Degree, an achievement that she valued greatly, and subsequently devoted her life to her family as a loving housewife. Her commitment to her loved ones was unwavering, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and support that will be treasured forever.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a charity of your choice, in Sandra’s name, to continue spreading the love and compassion she embodied throughout her life.

Sandra Sue Mitchell will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Adah Slete.

“I was part of the care team that has cared for Sandy at Golden Years. Sandy was a very special lady! Oh boy did she LOVE her Reds! I was part of the team with Bella Care Hospice that arranged for her to go to a Reds game last summer. She was SO happy to be there! No matter what kind of day she was having it did not take much to put a smile on her face. She knew she was loved and cared for! She enjoyed all her packages she got from her friend Ron including M &M’s, radios (to listen to the reds), and telephones. I will miss our conversations from her Bearkitten days to everyday life. She was loved and will be missed by many! Rest easy sweet lady! Kari Berry SSD”

“Today, we say goodbye to a woman whose presence touched our lives in quiet, meaningful ways. I was entrusted with her care, and I carried that responsibility with the same devotion I would give to my own family. Every moment spent making sure she was in the best care was a privilege, not a burden. I don’t regret a single day. I pray she knew deep in her heart that she was loved. Not just by me, but by so many others whose lives she touched with her gentle spirit. I hope she felt safe, valued, and held with dignity until the very end. Her journey here has ended, but the love she inspired remains. May she rest peacefully now, free from all bondages and burdens, wrapped in the warmth of the care she received and the affection she so deserved. Rest in peace. You were loved.”
