Obituary Via Neidhard Young Funeral Home
Shelby J. (Murrell) DuPuy, 85, of Hartwell, Ohio went Home to be with the Lord on May 20th
after battling long-term illness in West Chester, Ohio.
Shelby was born on April 20th, 1941 in South Irvine, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Gracie Fox. She graduated from Estill County High School in 1959. Shortly after, she moved to Cincinnati, settled in the Mill Creek Valley, married and raised two children.
Shelby worked twenty-seven years at Ford Motor Company in Sharonville before retiring. She was a devout Christian and a long-time member of Central Baptist Church where she was part of the Ladies’ Fellowship.
Shelby was a fantastic cook. The only book she read more than her Bible was her recipe book.
Shelby is survived by daughter Cindy (Pat) Cassinelli of Sharonville; granddaughter Sarah (Stephen) Rasmussen; treasured great-grandson Shepherd Rasmussen all of West Chester and daughter-in-law Melanie (Craig) Binder of Reading. She will be missed by many cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
The family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited in Heaven with her beloved son, Richard Charles DuPuy, Jr.
She is also preceded in death by her grandmother Hannah Fox, uncles John (Francis)
Fox, James (Liz) Fox, Glendon Fox, Ernie (Nancy) Fox, aunts Lucille (Sherman) Wagers, Mamie (Delbert) Garland and Agnes (Ted) Mansfield.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 28th at Central Baptist Church, 7645 Winton Rd Building B, Cincinnati, OH 45224, until the time of funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial at Arlington Memorial Gardens will immediately follow.
