Shirley Irene Brock

Shirley Irene Brock, beloved sister, aunt, and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2023, at the age of 83. Born on August 20, 1940, in Brodhead, KY, Shirley touched the lives of many during her time on Earth.

Shirley led a fulfilling life, marked by her unwavering devotion to her family and her dedication to her work. After completing her education and earning her High School Diploma, she embarked on a successful career as an Accounts Payable professional in the industrial sector, working diligently for the Heekin Cann Company.

A woman of strong faith, Shirley was an active member of the Sharonville Church of God for over 70 years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher. Her love for her church family was evident in her commitment and devotion to spreading the teachings of her faith.

Outside of her professional and religious commitments, Shirley embraced her passions with great fervor. She found solace and joy in quilting, a craft she mastered over the years, creating beautiful pieces that will continue to be cherished by her loved ones. She also had a talent for cooking, and her grandchildren, nieces and nephews will forever hold dear the memories of her delicious biscuits and gravy.

Known for her warm and welcoming nature, Shirley never met a stranger. She had an innate ability to make everyone feel at ease in her presence, and her genuine kindness left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have known her.

Shirley is survived by her loving sister, Ava (Greg) Strole, daughter-in-law, Tammy (Rob) Weinel, grandchildren, Tiffany Combs, Rory Bell, and Brendan Bell, nephew, Eric Strole, nieces, Emily Strole, Leta Becker, Sheree Barker, and who will forever cherish the memories they shared together. She was a devoted aunt, and her nieces and nephews will always remember her as a guiding light in their lives.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 15 years, Homer Brock and her first husband, Paul Ruth, son, Paul Ruth, Jr., and brother, Jimmy Barker.
