Shirley Rose (nee Byrd) Newman, beloved wife of the late Otha T. “Junior” Newman, Jr. for 64 years. Dear mother of Teresa (Tony) Camacho, Glenn (Cheryl) Newman and Debbie (Robert) Evans. Loving grandmother of Constance Camacho, Courtney (Quincy) Payne, Tony Camacho; Chera, Nathan (Kristen), Christa, Cara Newman, Brian Evans and 18 great grandchildren. Devoted sister of Peggy Rabideau. Also survived by many other relatives and friends. Passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022. Age 85 years. Shirley was born in Williamsburg, KY and was the Valedictorian of Pleasant View High School class of 1956. She retired from Sears after 25 years of service and was a long time member of McKelvey Road Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held at Neidhard Young Funeral Home, 7401 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy on Thursday from 5-8 PM and at McKelvey Road Baptist Church on Friday from 9:30 AM until time of funeral service at 10:30 AM.
