Shirley Ruth Nieman

Shirley Ruth Nieman, beloved Mother and Grandmother , passed away peacefully on March 18, 2024 at the age of 92. She was  Born on January 7, 1932, in Cincinnati, OH,

 Shirley was the devoted wife to the late James Nieman and Cherished mother to her sons James Nieman, Glenn Nieman and daughter Jennifer Crews.  She found great joy in spending time in her garden and watching her hummingbirds. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed collecting recipes, and she had a soft spot for her furry companion, Rusty.

Shirley enjoyed spending any amount of time with her family. Her love for her grandchildren was boundless, and she dedicated much of her time to them.  She loved entertaining especially during the holidays and she never allowed anyone to leave her home without a home cooked meal.

Shirley is survived by her children James (Pam) Nieman, Glenn Nieman, and Jennifer (Shawn) Crews. Her six dear grandchildren, her nine great-grandchildren and her dear sister Lois Whitfield.  She will be remembered also as an aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, James Nieman, siblings Melvin King, Carl King, Melba McMullen, granddaughter Kayleigh Nieman and her daughter-in-law Lynda Nieman.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Hospice of Cincinnati in Shirley’s memory. Shirley will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives she touched with her warmth, kindness, and love.
