A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Thomas Kidd Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us on March 13, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on December 7, 1954, in Oneida, TN, Stephen lived a life rich with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Stephen’s journey took him to Cincinnati, OH, where he worked diligently as a construction worker and honed his passion for carpentry. He dedicated his life to hard work and craftsmanship, often helping family and friends with projects around their homes. His contributions extended far beyond his profession; he was a devoted father and coach who spent countless hours guiding his children on the soccer field, instilling values of teamwork and perseverance.
A man of diverse interests, Stephen found joy in many things, including listening to 90s country music, Elvis, and Barbra Streisand. He cherished outdoor activities, particularly yard work, where he found peace and satisfaction in nurturing nature. His love for life was evident in every interaction, and he relished the moments spent with his grandchildren-his greatest pride-with whom he created a lifetime of memories.
Stephen was also an active member of his community, proudly serving as an auxiliary member of the VFW Brownsway. His commitment to friendship and family will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Katana (Chuck) Hayden, Ashley Kidd, and Amanda Kidd. Stephen was also a proud grandfather to 9 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 3 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Rick Kidd and his beloved nephews Eddie (Ammi) Kidd and Jason (Christina) Kidd, as well as his niece Chrissy Kidd.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Lena Kidd, and brothers, James Kidd, Eddie Kidd, and Billy Kidd.
In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in the laughter and joy he brought into our lives. Stephen Thomas Kidd Sr. will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
