Terry Michael Chinn

september 11, 1956 – april 9, 2024

Terry Michael Chinn

Terry Michael Chinn, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and stalwart member of the community, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024, in Corinth, Kentucky at the age of 67. Born on September 11, 1956, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Terry proudly served as a Police Officer for over 30 years, dedicating his life to protecting and serving others.

His legacy in public service extended beyond his role as a law enforcement officer, as he also spent 13 years working for General Electric before transitioning to the City of Edgewood. Notably, he was an integral part of the D.A.R.E. program, playing a crucial role in the safety and well-being of the local community’s youth.

Terry was recognized as the School Resource Officer of the Year for Region One by the Kentucky Association of School Resource Officers, a testament to his commitment to fostering positive relationships with the younger generation. He often remarked that working with the kids was the most rewarding aspect of his career, emphasizing that he had the “greatest job in the world.”

In addition to his professional achievements, Terry was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and actively participated in community events such as National Night Out with the Cincinnati Police. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he cherished spending time with his grandchildren, engaging in activities like motorcycle rides, fishing trips, and family cookouts.

Terry’s vibrant spirit and playful nature endeared him to all who knew him. He had a knack for playing lighthearted pranks and waking his loved ones with cheerful tunes. His sense of humor and zest for life brought joy to those around him and left a lasting impression on many.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the blue line upon entering the memorial park).  Visitation 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM. The funeral service will commence at 1:30 PM, with a graveside service to honor his memory immediately following in the Garden of 23rd Psalm.

Terry Michael Chinn leaves behind his beloved spouse Mildred, children Terry (Jessica), Mary (Keith), Rhonda (Arthur), and Bobbie (Gary), his sister Tanya (Steve), and his grandchildren, Michael, Rebecca, Mathew, Elizabeth, Christian, Nathan, Christopher, Anthony, Jessica, Gary, Elijah, Haven, Eve and Terry Earl each carrying a piece of his enduring legacy. As we gather to honor his remarkable life, let us remember Terry for his dedication to service, his love for family, and the laughter he brought to all who knew him. Though he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Terry, knowing that your legacy will live on forever.
